Mihrab Privacy Policy
Clear information about the Mihrab iOS app’s data handling.
Last updated July 3, 2026
Summary
Mihrab has no account system, advertising, analytics, or cross-app tracking. Reading progress, bookmarks, goals, notification choices, saved cities, and downloaded recitations are stored on your device.
Location
Location access is optional. If you choose Live Location, Mihrab uses precise location to calculate prayer times and Qibla. The latest location is stored on your device. When online prayer times are requested, latitude and longitude are sent to the AlAdhan prayer-times service. You can instead choose a saved city and use Mihrab’s offline calculations.
Network services
Mihrab contacts content providers only for features you request:
- AlAdhan for online prayer times.
- Quran.com/Quran Foundation, QuranicAudio, QuranCDN, and MP3Quran for recitation audio and timing.
- The fawazahmed0 Hadith API mirror on jsDelivr for Hadith content.
Those providers receive the request and standard network information such as an IP address and may process it under their own policies.
Notifications, widgets, and Live Activities
Prayer, Athkar, Ayah, and Hadith reminders are scheduled locally after you grant permission. Prayer information shared with Mihrab widgets and Live Activities stays in the app’s private App Group on your device.
Your choices and retention
Location and notification access can be changed in iOS Settings. Recitation downloads can be removed inside Mihrab. Deleting Mihrab removes its local app data, subject to device backups managed by Apple. Mihrab does not maintain a server account or personal-data profile to delete.
Support
For support or privacy questions, open a support request. The request is public, so do not include sensitive information, precise location, or personal documents.
